Price range is an average, exact amount depends on the level of detail and difficulty in the pose, character design, and background elements. Extra details (such as accessories, multiple figures, backgrounds, etc.) can be discussed via messages.

How does it all work?

If you would like to proceed with the commission, this is what I would need from you:

References:

• Reference images of the character(s) (if you don’t have a design of the character, a moodboard/group of images with its various features or the “vibe” of the character is ok and you can let me know if there are any features that you want included, though this may cost a little more as it means I also am in charge of character design);
• Reference images of the pose (even a crude stick figure drawing is ok!);
• Reference images or moodboard of the background (if you want one);
• (Optional) Examples from my portfolio/previous works that are close to the style you’d like me to replicate;

Budget/Payment:

• My regular prices are included in my commission sheet, but;
• If you have a specific budget (whether higher or lower than what my commission sheet says) we can work out how to simplify the piece or add details to make it more elaborate;
• Payment is collected near the beginning, right after the rough concept sketch is approved;
• Payment is preferably done via VGen – https://vgen.co/NinaDAberlein -, because it is safer for the commissioner and it helps me find more clients in the future. However, if you prefer, we can also use Paypal.

Other Rules and information:

• Updates will be presented at each stage of the creation process (sketch, lineart/cleanup, flat colours, gradual shading/rendering), if you want any minor revisions they can be done if applicable at that stage of the drawing/painting, but to avoid too many revisions it is best to present as many detailed references as possible in the early stage;
• Usually up to 3 minor revisions are allowed free of charge, for more revisions or for bigger revisions a surplus fee will be applicable, though of course the exact amount and the details would be discussed with you before any steps are taken;
• The absolute max time a commission will require is 2 months, but that’s only in a worst-case scenario, normally a piece is completed between 2 and 10 days without major revisions;
• As I am an artist with a registered business, I will need a name and billing address to put on my invoice so I can declare the transaction in my income. The address doesn’t have to be your home address and the name doesn’t have you be your full real name, I just need something to put in the paperwork so the Italian Government doesn’t think I’m evading taxes;

Step by Step process:

1. You contact me, I send you this information and my commission sheet;
2. You gather all the references necessary mentioned in the References section;
3. We discuss the exact price, budget, payment, and any extra details (no payment necessary at this stage yet);
4. I start the rough sketch and deliver it with a watermark;
5. Upon approval, payment will be made;
6. I start working on the piece and share updates at each stage in case you want any changes;
7. Artwork is finished!
8. I deliver the HQ files to you.
